By PHVFD&RS
January 7, 2018

On January 4th, members took advantage of the freezing temperatures and practiced ice rescues during drill. Several members put on cold water suits and entered a hole that was made in the middle of a pond. Other members practiced different rescue techniques to save the stranded person. We would like to remind everyone that walking, skating or playing on frozen ponds, lakes, rivers or streams is extremely dangerous and highly discouraged.
