Just 45 minutes after the arrival of our fill-in company for our 67th annual awards banquet they were alerted to Chapmans Landing road for the first due house fire. Chief 7A arrived on the scene with fire showing and established the command and assigned Chief 7B the division 1 supervisor. Engine 7-2 staffed by members from Bel Alton Volunteer Fire Department, Inc. arrived on the scene and stretched an attack line into the home and extinguished the fire. Rescue Squad 7, Tanker 7 (staffed by our members) also ran the call. Thank you Bel Alton for holding down the fort while we enjoy our banquet.
