The Potomac Heights Volunteer Fire Department and Rescue Squad, Inc. and Auxiliary are seeking qualified people from all communities to join our team. PHVFD offers career opportunities for men and women seeking professional and personal satisfaction. All members are 100% volunteer and our strong tradition of volunteerism continues to live on. PHVFD&RS is ready to serve, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year!
As part of the PHVFD&RS family, you will be eligible for:
- a Scholarship Program
- free training provided by Maryland Fire and Rescue Institute (MFRI) (earn College Credits)
- $5,000/year Maryland State Tax Relief*
- the Maryland Length of Service Awards Program (LOSAP)*
- a Cadet Program**
